See Is Believing!
I practiced dental hygiene for 7 years prior to graduating from dental school. As most people know, hygiene is hard on the back and neck. I was having musculoskeletal problems before even starting dental school. This was very disheartening since being a dentist was my life-long dream. How was I going to practice dentistry if I was in this much pain and hadn’t even started dental school?"
After 1½ years in practice, paraesthesia began to coincide with the pain. I called on a long-time friend, Dr. Doxey Sheldon, who I knew practiced microscope-enhanced dentistry. After an hour of watching her work, supporting her arms and shoulders and looking straight ahead the entire time, I was hooked.
I received my Global microscopes in 2004. I can honestly say I’m a changed person! Not only has microscope-enhanced dentistry helped me ergonomically, enabling me to practice dentistry for years to come (which is my biggest ROI), but it has taken my clinical practice to a whole new level. Efficiency has increased dramatically. Patients feel well taken care of because they know I see what the naked eye or loupes can’t.
You can take a lot of things away from me in my practice…but hands off my scopes! |
